Professor Ton Nu Quynh Tran is responsible for coordinating Tracking
Development activities within Vietnam. A historian, from 1976 to 2000
she worked as a researcher at the Vietnam Academy of Social Science's
Southern Institute of Social Sciences in Ho Chi Minh City. Since 2000
she has been director of the Center for Urban and Development Studies
(CEFURDS). She has written widely on the modern history, culture, and
sociology of Vietnam. Her current research focuses mainly on urban
development issues.
